Professional towing with a dolly — safe transport to the workshop when the wheel breaks
📞 Call: 608 275 667Towing a vehicle with a broken wheel — how it works
When a wheel breaks or comes off, the vehicle cannot drive normally. Instead of classic towing on a hook, we use a special dolly — it moves the vehicle under the damaged wheel directly to the workshop. This is safer for the vehicle and faster than traditional towing.
The dolly is a transport cart with wheels that we place under the damaged wheel. The vehicle rides on the dolly — it does not require hooking to a tow bar. The transport is smooth, with no risk of damaging the suspension or body.
When we use a dolly instead of regular towing
The dolly is used in the following situations:
- Broken or completely detached wheel — the vehicle cannot be towed on a hook
- Malfunctioning steering system — the vehicle does not respond to turns
- Malfunctioning brakes — the vehicle cannot stop by itself
- Suspension damage — no safe way to hook
- Transporting a vehicle in a confined space — garage, parking lot
Vehicle safety when towing with a dolly
Towing with a dolly is safer than regular towing on a hook:
- No load on the hitch — the entire weight of the vehicle rests on the roller, not on the hook
- Suspension protection — the suspension is not stressed as it is during towing with a rope
- Body protection — the marking and tow chain will not damage the vehicle
- Vehicle stability — the vehicle is in a horizontal position, not choked
- Fast driving — you can drive faster than during towing (up to 60 km/h)
What are the regulations regarding vehicle towing
Towing a vehicle in Poland is subject to driving license regulations:
- Maximum towing speed — up to 30 km/h in built-up areas, up to 60 km/h outside of them
- Distance between vehicles — 4–6 meters with a flexible connection, up to 3 meters with a rigid one
- Required markings — yellow-red tape on the tow line, hazard lights on the towed vehicle
- Functional steering and braking system — the towed vehicle must have functional brakes and steering
- Highways and expressways — vehicles not intended for towing cannot tow on highways, only specialized roadside assistance
What to do if a tire bursts on the road
Step-by-step procedure:
- Stay calm — keep the steering wheel straight, do not brake suddenly
- Turn on hazard lights — immediately press the hazard light button
- Pull over — gently move to a safe place (shoulder, bay)
- Stop the vehicle — engage the handbrake, turn off the engine
- Put on a reflective vest — wear it before exiting the vehicle
- Set up the warning triangle — if you have one, place it 50–100 meters behind the vehicle
- Call us — provide your exact location, explain the situation
How much does towing with a rope cost
The towing price depends on several factors:
- Departure and towing — 150–250 PLN depending on the location
- Distance from Suwałki — up to 100 km without additional charge, beyond that 1–2 PLN per km
- Type of vehicle — larger vehicles (SUVs, trucks) may require additional preparations (200–350 PLN)
- Destination — workshop, home, another address (no additional charge)
You call, describe the vehicle and location — we provide the exact price before we do anything.

You don't have to. You can stay inside the towing vehicle, or step out temporarily and wait in a safe place. It's important to turn off the engine and engage the handbrake.
A roller is a transport cart with swivel wheels. We place it under the damaged wheel of the vehicle. The vehicle 'rides' on the roller — it doesn't need a hitch. The transport is stable and safe.
